ISUZU Motors asked me to create a Logo on their Master Technician Programme.
The idea was to combine the precision of the car builders and their superb teaching programme with the class of a vintage mechanic.
The technician is a hero with both practical skills and a diploma in theory and electronics. He is standing in the oval of ISUZU’s original house logo like a 1950’s superhero, flanked by ISUZU’s most important vehicles, the truck and the DMAX-Pickup.
I wanted to keep the initial swing of reduced pencil outline that created the figure in the first place also in the vectorized logo. That way I was able to preserve a continuity of dark rough lines going into each other and keep the picture alive.
